National Switzerland Day

Today is 31st of July meaning that we celebrate the Switzerland Day tomorrow at 1st August. However, before that, today, at the evening we have planned were going to the Biel city to celebrate the eve of National Switzerland and watch fireworks. It is my first time to celebrate in Biel city at times Eve National Switzerland. This is gonna be exciting, watch fireworks in their, eat fine food and drinks. I will tell later on folks, wish you have a great Friday.

A Fun Day

How day, folks? What you had done today? Do you have some fun today? If you ask me at the same question, we have fun today not just fun we had beautiful day. Today, it’s a last day of Fasnacht (Carnival), my husband, son Cedric and I went to the city and watched promenade of Fasnacht. It was a lot of fun, hearing, crazy and fun music that made us shake shake shaked our butts (*laugh*). Too sexy I wore high heels I felt painful in my legs and feet standing on the street watching Carnival promenade with my son on my arms I had no time to sat down and let my legs and arms calm. It’s almost 2 hours we stood up and watched the promenade. After an hour, my friends came. We had chitchat and then after we went to Westside mall in Brünnen, and watch the live concert. Amazing View From Gurnigel Pass

It’s so amazing to go up to the mountain walk on the snow do snow sledging, enjoying the breathtaking views, breathing the fresh air, having peace of mind and have a relaxation. Last Sunday my husband and I talked to go up the mountain as we had watched weather news at the Saturday evening as it has said that about 2000 meters from sea level having a sun and from low land having a fog. Therefore, in the next day we decided to go up to the Gurnigel Mountain. Gurnigel mount is about 1608 meters from sea level, one of the highest pass mountains in Bern and it is about 45 minutes car drive from City of Bern. So folks, take a deep breath…!!! Winter In Switzerland

This afternoon when I was browsing in my photo gallery files I came across those photos. Maybe I just only missed snow, that is why I like to see those photos. It’s so nice that I thought some of you might knows a little bit about Switzerland, some of you might enjoy it as well looking those photos my husband and I had took during winter in Switzerland. Is my second homeland, my husband homeland where I am currently living.

There’s so many things to do in times of winter in Switzerland. One of the most popular local festival and tourist attractions in switzerland the Onion Market or Zibelmarit during winter time in Berne the capital of Switzerland. Winter in Switzerland there are a lot of fun people enjoying breathtaking snowshoe tour through forest majestic crystal snow and skiing, snowsledge with friends, family and after a day take relaxed and have a fondue for dinner.

Visit Locarno Town

The photo took of my husband where in Locarno Park along the shore. Photo took were in vacation couples of days ago.
Locarno is the one touristic town in Ticino located in southern of Switzerland, surround by majestic mountains and by the Lago Maggiore and it’s neighbour of Ascona town. The official language is Italian. The most elegant of the country’s lakeside resort. In every year in august celebrating film festival. Locarno and Ascona it has a lot to offers many activities and interesting attractions.

My husband and I like this place because is calm place to relaxed and comfort staying in beautiful Locarno town. It was not my second vacation in this place, our 1st visit, we were with my sis and bro. couples of years ago.

Lang Glacier Löstchenthal Valley

Couple of days ago we had short vacation in the south of Switzerland. We started our travel early morning around 8:00 o’clock. My husband drove a car within 1 hour to reached up to the Kandersteg where we rode the auto train that took us from Kandersteg to Goppenstein the other side of Lötschberg in Valais Canton south of Switzerland in just 15 minutes which is the shortest way from Bernese Oberland or vice versa. The car train trough a tunnel to the Valais region south of switzerland. The car transport which is the shortest and fastest way going to the south of Switzerland Valais region, even in the Lötschberg tunnel we could hear the radio music.

The travel was great, we arrived earlier in Kippel the center town in Lötschenthal and our first destination was in Fafler Alp and walked a little bit an hours to reach the Lötschenlücke and see clearly the known Lang glacier where we could touch the glacier that called Lötschenlücke. The ice covers so much of gravels. I thought it was only gravels but when we saw closer, it was ice cover with gravels. It was dangerous to step on or even beside on the ice because sometimes the gravels get falling down. It so amazing ice glacier that we haven’t seen before.

Everything Are New

My mom is here now; she arrived yesterday night from Philippines. It was so funny because everything are new for her, weather, nature, people, language, houses, building, things, culture and tradition opps this I will never forget the food hmm… what else?

Oberhofen Castle And Its Park

The photos below stated we were by the park of Oberhofen Castle in Thun, almost 30 minutes to drive from our place. It was beautiful weather not hot and not cold, it was perfect temperature. My husband and I do not have idea after visiting to my friend in hospital (who delivered a baby last Thursday) therefore, we decided to visit this beautiful place of Oberhofen and visit by the park of the castle. We enjoyed looking the wonderful view from the park. When we were there the castle was already closed so we do not have a chance to look inside maybe next time if have a time enough we will look inside.

Oberhofen Castle and village located in Berner Oberland and offers picturesque lakeside setting with an amazing view of the Alps and the parks offers view of the lake against the fantastic mountains. The parks of Casltle Oberhofen is the one loveliest in the Alpine region.

The Most Beautiful Mountain In The World

This is with my sister and brother (above photo). My sister wearing black and me was wearing pink t-shirt. These were during summer vacation in Valais Switzerland past years. It was blast vacation we had in their, we went to Zermatt which is known village in Switzerland which where the Matterhorn is, the famous landmark in Switzerland and the most beautiful mountain in the world, which named also the Tobleron chocolate. Zermatt known is the one best place of ski resort in the Alps.

Photo above when we went to the mountains with cable railway; there we saw amazing wide view of the Switzerland Alps, border Italy Alps and Zermatt village that was so breathtaking view and of course the most ever dominant the most amazing mountain in the world the MATTERHORN. This coming august I do not know if we could go this place to bring my mom out there and see the Zermatt village and tour in interesting attractions of this area.

Spent Our 1st Day Summer In Grindelwald

Hi folks, where did you spent your 1st day summer? Last Saturday it was the 1st day summer, it was sunny Saturday. At Saturday morning my husband and I does not know where to spend our day. When my husband told me about hiking and going up to the mountain, I mention him Grindelwald. Therefore, we never hesitate and we prepared our self and baby’s things. We drove our car within 1 hour from our house to reach this beautiful village surrounded by the beautiful Alps in the famous Jungfrau region. Grindelwald lies in the swiss valley, is also popular summer activity resort, in summer hiking trails and attractions that are more interesting for us, in winter, skiing, snow sledged, snow mountaineering schools and many more. The Grindelwald has the name glaciers and oldest village in Switzerland that is why I was so excited to see this village and what things to do in this known village.
It was good we arrived early. When we parked our car in parking area, we do not know where we to go and then I told to my man to see the Glacier’s gorge. We rode a bus to reach the glaciers gorge. When we were at the entrance of the glaciers gorge, we amazed what we had seen. Amazing glaciers canyon, so great glacier canyon is. When we were walking, I cannot handle my self because of the coldness, because I just wore a thin blouse and leggings and baby was just a t-shirt but it was good I brought one jacket for my baby. We continued our walked until we reached at the middle way of the glaciers canyon I told to my husband to go back way because I cannot handle anymore and my ears I felt cold and freeze. I think the pathway several hundred meters longs. It was really freaking cold for me not just I worried of my self, I was so worried to my baby too. I told to my husband maybe next time we could visit again this Glaciers gorge that I bring and wear thick jacket. Therefore, we went out from the glacier’s gorge and at the restaurant, we had snacks. Then back to the village took around and buying some souvenirs. My husband told me we will go back someday this village to explore more attractions that are interesting. Pretty good we are just near this place, anytime we could go back this beautiful Grindelwald village. At the evening, we arrived in our place and got a dinner in Thailand Restaurant because I really miss the Asian food from restaurant.

Bonding With Friends

Time fliest so fast. We are almost in the middle of the year now. The weather here in our place is getting better everyday. On Sunday, my family and my friend’s family had a chance bonded, we were visited Thun town (the most original town in Switzerland), and it is just 20 minutes to drive a car from our place. It was great weather, the Alps that you can see clearly which amazing view from this small town, views of the Eiger monch and Jungrfrau which are very known alps and the mount Niesen and stockhorn. Many local people and tourist people walked around. This is also we like the most to visit this place. We walked around the city, the park and took shots. Here are some photos we took while we were crossing the little bridge (the bridge made of wood), which is a bridge open able dams to control the water from Thuner lake.

Hammetschwandlift: Highest Exterior Elevator in Europe

Back to year September 24, 2006, I remember, hubby and I, with his friends we were in Bürgenstock. The expenses were hubby friends pay this entire trip to Bürgenstock and also the food during lunch break. We were in restaurant Cafè Piazza. They have yummylicious food, it is quiet expensive though but it is worth. It was amazing trip; we were with the ship from Lucerne then going up to Bürgenstock with the old Bürgenstock funicular railway which was opened in 1888 and completely overhauled in 2002 is the oldest electrically operated funicular railway in Switzerland.
Some Hollywood Star like Charley Chaplin, Sean Connery & ect. they been in Bürgerstock, long time ago! When we were there is quiet a little bit foggy but you can still see the beauty of the nature. We visited Hammetschwandlift which is the Highest Exterior Elevator in Europe. It created an absolute sensation when the hotel and railroad pioneer Franz-Josef Bucher-Durrer built the Hammetschwand lift at the Bürgenstock in 1905.

The hotel resort located at 847 meters a.s.l. has been a popular vacation sport since 1872. Its attractiveness was enhanced by the spectacular path along the vertical rock face and by an exterior open lift. To this day the lift and the path have lost none of their attraction.
The new lift was built and opened by the Schindler company. It whisks passengers 153 meters up to the summit of the Hammetschwand in less than one minute. It was regarded as a pioneering feat in those days and is still a record holder, since the Hammetschwand lift is holding the number one position as Europe's highest exterior lift.
